Welcome Wonderofcreation.org!!

Long before Jesus entered our world in the body of a Jewish infant, he left his fingerprints and signature all over monarch butterflies, horses, oak trees and salamanders.

Ages before Jesus turned water into wine and spoke peace to the churning waters of Galilee, he painted color, life, and ecological balance into a stunning interdependence of plants, animals, and insects.

A friend of Jesus named, John, described the link between the creation of Genesis and Jesus of Nazareth when he wrote:

In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. He was in the beginning with God. He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn’t make… But although the world was made through him, the world didn’t recognize him when he came. Even in his own land and among his own people, he was not accepted. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God…So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father” (John 1:1-14)

Because the Bible makes so much of the relationship between the Creator and his world, I’d like to introduce you to the launch of a sister blog– and Website– WonderofCreation.org.

The site is being hosted by Dean Ohlman, a friend and co-worker of mine who will be encouraging us to take a closer look at a world wonderfully created by none other than the one who– to rescue us from ourselves– allowed himself to be nailed to a tree of his own making.

If you love the outdoors of woods, fields, and waters, then I think you will enjoy exploring the wonder of creation with Dean and friends.

How cool is this?!?! Unfortunately, due to trudging through life, we just dont stop to look around at God’s creation and smell the roses. We scurry home to see the latest ball game, movie or play the latest “sim” game yet what we should do is just “get out!”

For me, being outdoors in the woods is where I feel Im so close to God and my family. All of the comforts of home left behind and only the most essential provisions are at hand. We become dependent on one another and on God Himself. I highly recommend camping to those who never experience it for the very reasons I stated.

May I suggest Eastern Sierras as we camped there often due to its majestic vistas? As this website unfolds, I can almost hear those “I wanna go,too’s.”

How do we log in to the new WOC blog to leave comments? My log in for this blog does not work. It’s got the makings of a wonderful new blog and I would like to visit daily. Thanks.

    In Luke Jesus says:
“When these things begin to take place, stand up and LIFT UP YOUR HEADS , because your redemption is drawing near.” Your reflection reminded me of the importance of opening my eyes to see the Glory of God all around us. At times I am too busy NAVEL GAZING and need to obey His word by just lifting my head and opening my eyes to the beauty of His creation. Blessings on this new journey..on your new undertaking! JJD

I checked out the Wonders Of Creation site and it’s going to be great. Try just clicking on comment tab, it will ask for name, etc. They are testing the comment tab so not sure where mine went when I clicked on submit, lol, I got the server not found error after that. I probably broke something, You know how the Apes are.

Thanks for the info on the new blog. I’ve been an outdoorsman since I was about seven years of age: starting with fishing. Now I hunt, fly-fish, tie flies, camp, canoe, and use our Adirondack guideboat. My wife joins me on many trips to the Adirondacks in northern NY. I am just in awe of all that the Lord has created! I am always reminded of my all-time favorite hymn; “How Great Thou Art!”. Especially the verse about God sending His Son to die on the cross for me. How anyone can look at the beauty of creation and the unparalleled intelligence responsible for it; and not believe in the Lord astounds me to this day. Soli Deo Gloria!

I too had trouble “logging in” as I used the same info as here and got “invalid password”. Where and how does one register?

Hi everyone from the ape in Indy. Sense the other site is making adjustments I thought we might share our experiences with the wonders of God’s creations. I’ve been around USA quite a bit and have camped out even when I could have paid for a room. I worked in Lawton, Ok. one summer and they have a place called Holy City, It has adobe buildings like in Isreal. On Easter they do a reinactment and you can go in the houses and watch from the roofs. I was really moved and impressed. It is hard to understand how people can see all the fish, birds, and wild animals as well as this planet’s ideal balance of seasons yet believe it just happened that way!? There certainly is a God in Heaven and I’ll continue doing what ever I can to help the lost at least give Jesus an oppurtunity. Amen

Good morning all, I have been reading this blog for quite some time and just want to say what a wonderful blessing you all are. I am constantly given new ways to think about the Word and how it can be interpreted.
I too, see God’s creation in all the world around me, and as I live on a beach in the Costa Rican Rainforest,I wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the mountains behind my house and during the day listen to the parrots, macaws and tucans flying overhead. God certainly had a sense of humor in creating some of His creatures! I sit in awe of Him and the work He does in the world around me.
Seventeen years ago, at the point of death, He pulled me from a pit that also, makes me today continue to sit in awe of Him and the work He has been faithful to do in my own life too.
May our wonderful Jesus continue to Bless you all,… you have been such a Blessing to me.I hope to be able to continue to join you in your comments and conversations but as I connect through a cell phone, that too depends on the Lord! “Dios te Bendiga” and thanks!

I enjoy walking and jogging outside in the evenings at a nearby park. God is so good. I can feel Him out there among the trees and the birds and squirrels. I am having a good time.
Also, tried to log in the other site, but couldn’t.

I believe that God’s most beautiful creation is human beings and they are the worst at honoring their creator and His creation. We were even created in God’s image go figure.
