The Passing of Whitney Houston

Flickr Source: asterix611

On the eve of the 2012 Grammy Music Awards, Whitney Houston died.

With her passing millions will remember a voice and songs that did more than make her one of the most recognized and awarded female vocalists in music history.  Who among us can forget the emotions stirred by her endlessly played “I Will Always Love You.”

That some of Whitney’s songs seemed to draw on a spirituality beyond the music might have something to do with her early years. According to an online encyclopedia: “At the age of 11, Houston began to follow in her mother’s footsteps and started performing as a soloist in the junior gospel choir at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, where she also learned to play the piano. Her first solo performance in the church was “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah.”

Good Morning Mart & Friends —

I trust that Whitney remembered the Lord Jesus who loves her through all her changes and trials — in that hotel room yesterday afternoon. There is no “if” in his love — he welcomes whoever calls out to him — high or straight, lost or saved.

I pray, as we mourn the loss of a brilliant 48 yr. old musician, she is enfolded into the family of God with great joy and peace. He loves her better than we do.

  2. jimmygammalo says:

How sad that she didn’t allow God to lead her, she would probably be alive today. I hope she had peace with Jesus Christ. I pray that God’s Holy Spirit will comfort her family.

  3. poohpity says:

My heart goes out to her family and friends who will be suffering a great loss. I pray for the the Lord’s hand to be upon them with comfort and peace. I also pray for them to hold each other and for this loss to being them together and not separate when they need each other the most.

The Lord blessed her with such a beautiful voice and I bet she will be welcomed into that Holy choir singing, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty. She has been released from the struggles of this life. May she be remember for the good she did and may her failures be thought of in the light of God’s grace and mercy.

  4. florida7sun says:

“Jesus loves me! This I know; For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong; They are weak, but He is strong.” – Whitney Houston

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” – Ephesians 6:12

We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God.

May you rest in peace, Whitney, in the arms of our Savior.

  5. BruceC says:

As destructive as the world is; God’s love and grace are greater still. And always shall be.

May the love of Lord Jesus Christ and the powerful Word of God comfort her family. Her voice shall be heard when One Day we all sing our praises to our Lord.

Her gift of voice will always be remebered as one of the greatest.

Romans 11:29 God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable!
She will be singing to Him for the rest of Eternity!

  7. abraham99 says:

Whitney Houston was a drug user and an alcoholic. She is not in the loving arms of Jesus as some of you assume and she is not in heaven because “neither drunkeds……Joel 1:5;1 Cor 6:10. If she had KNOWN the Lord then she would have put her faith in Him and not in drugs and alcohol. All the unbeliever comments in the newspapers are saying what some of you say “Ah she’s in heaven; ah she’s at peace with God”. Wake up and read your bible!!

  8. Mikek says:

She is a testimony against the world and everything it has to offer – death.

What more can be said than her life has said, embrace the world and all it holds and in it you will find death.

Futility, emptiness, death, pain, religion, sorrow, waste…the best the world offers.

May it never be said of anyone here.

  9. bill34sl says:

I remember when I was young, one afternoon I was awaken from a nap by Whitney’s version of “ Saving All My Love To You” and I thought that was so lovely even though I was into hard rock music. Yesterday, when I was at Yahoo, I spotted a news on a side that says Whitney Houston dies. It was a bit shocking to learn that such a popular figure with such a stunning voice had a life so short, or rather cut short. Ironically, despite her seeking refuge in drugs and alcohol from all her life’s miseries, according to a reliable news article, her last public song was “Jesus Loves Me”. Indeed, Jesus loves her. I’m just hoping she was able to reconcile to the Lord during the last moments of her life.

  10. remarutho says:

    Psalm 86:14, 15

  11. poohpity says:

abraham99, you may read Luke 18:9-14 NLT.

  12. poohpity says:

Amen, Maru. It certainly shows where peoples hearts are in midst of great loss and grief. Matthew 7:1-5 NIV

  13. abraham99 says:

poohpity, I don’t know what to say to you. No, I don’t exalt myself. I’m lost for words. Have you not read what I posted…Joel and 1 Cor?
And remarutho…no I’m not proud…I simply read the Word.
Are you telling me that as a reformed alcholic I could have continued living my life just as Whitney and still gone to heaven???? Oh wow, I missed it!

  14. remarutho says:

    Yes Bill and Pooh!

For Whitney, her lessons in life were learned in bad company, as Paul told the church at Corinth –> 1 Corinthians 15:33. Once the Lord hears the cry of his child in bondage, he sends all kinds of help. I believe her prayer of repentance and hope brought her home.

    Blessings,
    Maru

  15. poohpity says:

No abraham I am saying you have no idea the condition of her heart of her relationship to the Lord. Anyone can take scripture out of context to prove their point.

As a reformed alcoholic have you ever experienced a relapse and during that relapse did you loose your salvation?

  16. abraham99 says:

Well said Mikek. Whitney, like so many other ‘celebs’ live in the unreal world of godlike excistance and the satanic powerfull grip becomes their great downfall.

  17. poohpity says:

I also thought that we are taught to mourn with those who mourn that shows who has our hearts not being critical of things we know nothing about.

  18. abraham99 says:

No, poohpity, I have never experienced a relapse. I keep away from bars and from people who drink in front of me. I have found something much, much more exciting!!

  19. abraham99 says:

remarutho….I believe I owe you an apology because you wrote at 2.57 that you believe her prayer of repentance and hope brought her home. Well I am sorry for my postings because I hadn’t read that she had repented. Can you tell me where you read that please?

  20. remarutho says:

    Hello Abraham —

Through exegesis of Whitney’s life, I believe she was at the end of herself — and prayed to God in Christ. The truth may never appear in print. James 5:19, 20 Not all healing produces the continuation of earthly life.

My prayer is for her salvation. And, I believe God hears us when we cry out to him even in our sinful state. She truly was at the end of all her own wealth and resources and strength. I believe God for his mercy. I pray for her forgiveness — under the blood of Christ. Won’t you join me in this prayer?

    Blessings,
    Maru

  21. poohpity says:

The sad thing is that her family and friends have lost someone dear to them. The media will do enough damage in their reporting the truth from their own perspectives which will always be distorted by their own prejudices, judgments and criticisms. As the body of Christ it would be so very nice to leave her salvation or repentance in the hands of God and Jesus who died for her sins as well as all of ours too. We look to much like the world when we start discussions on her eternal destiny and that then has horrible effects on her family and friends while they are going through this very, very hard time. Our words should bring comfort, care and peace for those still living who are close to her. I would be repulsed, if in my time of mourning, people started sharing their thoughts on my lost loved one. It is no wonder people turn away from those who claim to be Christians.

  22. abraham99 says:

Maru, I cannot pray for Whitney now, because at the moment of death, her spirit left her body. I have prayed only for the ones she left behind, in hope that they can find the Source of comfort in a just God.
A rabbi here has found his Messiah at a great cost. He lost his synagogue, his congregation, his double story house, his wife and two children. He lost everything that he built his life around and now lives in a studio flat supported by the other believers whilst he looks for a job. He said to a friend who was concerned that he didn’t have enough to eat. “I used to eat from the Tree of knowledge but now I eat from the Tree of Life, my hunger is satisfied”. He gave it all up; he picked up his cross and followed J’shua and that’s what it’s all about.

  23. remarutho says:

I must pray for Whitney, and as some others have pointed out, for those who loved her as daughter, mother, wife and friend. I did not know her at all, except as a celebrity and musician.

Her life was public, so must her death be, it seems. She knows the Lord Jesus. That is enough for me.

I will pray on in the way I can see — for her homecoming and for God’s joyful welcome. I am sorry you cannot pray for her, Abraham.

I spent Saturday in the ER praying with those who survived a massive, deadly series of wrecks on a frozen freeway. How we have rejoiced for those who walked away! So, also we mourn with those who are now grieving the loss of life.

I do not make the call on life and death — but only hope in the Lord.

    Maru

  24. poohpity says:

I bet the rabbi saw the heart of the one who showed concern about whether he had enough to eat but yet did not bring him food.

  25. remarutho says:

Sadly, Matthew 25:41, 42, Pooh. I always hear the tears in his voice. He has given us many an opportunity to see how great his love.

  26. abraham99 says:

Maru, It was wonderful to read that you prayed for the folk in ER and that God answered your prayers immediatly. May our wonderful King and Messiah bless you greatly for that.
I’m a medic so I’m on duty now.
God bless you throughout the day as you pray.

  27. remarutho says:

The Lord pour out blessings upon you in your journey, Abraham. Shalom. Maru

  28. poohpity says:

Maru, yes I know He weeps for the needs that are unmet because of concerns about people behaviors rather than loving others as God has loved us. To stop and think for just a moment what if I was in the position this person is in how would I want someone to treat me. Then I think kindness, mercy, love and grace would trump any other act. If we say we really trust God and have faith in Him it will be seen in our actions. Let God be in charge of peoples hearts if we do not trust God then we will be about conviction and pointing out flaws in others. That is not trusting God that is trying to be god. I do not believe Jesus ever issued commands He seemed to want people to trust Him and have faith in Him.

Maru, do you ever remember in scripture the disciples being told to go and point out the sins in people? Please help me with this.

  29. bill34sl says:

Pooh, Maru, God bless you for showing such a huge compassion. I’m with you.

  30. remarutho says:

    Hey Poohpity —

I think of the city of Sychar in Samaria. It was clear that the fields were already white unto harvest. Someone had been teaching the gospel (Bible of the day) there. (John 4:36, 37, 38) They stayed there two days. I can only see what the Scripture says: “And many more believed because of his word.” They (her neighbors) said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” (John 4:41-42)

It seems to me, the disciples would have done a “corrective” teaching there, since the religion of the Samaritans was a hybrid of pagan and Jewish tradition. But, the passage is silent on the issue of pointing out the sins of people. Your opinion is welcome on this.

When Jesus sent them out by twos with authority over demons and to heal and proclaim the kingdom of God (Luke 9:1-2), there is mention only of positive action, not “fire and brimstone.”

As for the parables Jesus himself told, they make frequent mention of God’s judgment on the last day. I am thinking of the three end-times parables in Matthew 25. They all teach about the character of the kingdom of God: the ten virgins; the parable of the talents; the final judgment. There is a definite call to repent or face a closed door (Matt 25:10), casting into outer darkness (Matt 25:30) and eternal punishment (Matt 25:46).

I would say you are on the right track in believing in a positive, life-giving gospel, Pooh. I am ready to hear other thoughts on this.

    Blessings,
    Maru

  31. rivergal says:

Oh, how easy, and dangerous, it is for me to let condemnation and commendations fly from my lips, quoting chapter and verse as pillars that I build my dictions – bene and mala – upon.

Then Jesus says, “On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.'”

    and

“But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ I tell you, this sinner…returned home justified before God.”

(note, He does not say, “former tax collector”)

and the pillars remain, but my dictions fall away.

What remains? “As for you, follow me.” (John 21:22) and
“you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” (Col. 3:12)

  32. yooperjack says:

    Maru: Check out Romans 2:4-5.

  33. yooperjack says:

People already know they are sinners it is the love and goodness of God that will soften there hardened hearts and lead them to repentance.

  34. Regina says:

    Good Evening All,

I was shocked when I heard the news (on MSNBC/Internet) of the Passing of Whitney Houston. I can hardly believe that she’s gone from this world. Like many of you, I pray that the LORD will comfort her family as they mourn the loss of their beloved family member. Her passing brings to mind a few stanzas in a song by Elton John (Candle in the Wind)…

“..it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
    When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid [not me…only a few years younger than she was :)]
Your candle burned out long before
    Your legend ever did

    Lonliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
    Hollywood created a “SUPERSTAR”
And pain was the price you paid…”

Cold and sleety night in Texas (36 degrees)

    Love to all…

  35. Regina says:

The fact that her passing is being mourned on the BTA blog is a tribute, I think, to her level of stardom and notoriety.

  36. remarutho says:

    Hello Regina —

Whitney must have had times of loneliness — along with friends who brought darker things into her life. She seems far too young to get away from us. Her songs that remain will have to be enough.

Who can pass any judgment on Whitney’s life? She is a child of God — wonderfully gifted — now at home with the Lord. (Psalm 103:8, 14)

    Blessings,
    Maru

  37. royalpalm says:

    Hi, Mart and BTA friends,
I mourn Whitney Huston’s tragic death. With her early Christian upbringing and God-given gifts, her life could have ended differently. As I read various posts, I am reminded of Paul’s admonition to the Corinthian believers – to live godly lives, using the O.T. Jews as example (I Cor. 10:1-10), ending with, ” 11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come 12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”

The devil is prowling lion who seeks to destroy our souls and Jesus wanted us to recognize this by asking for protection from our heavenly Father as part of our prayers. (Matt 6:13) (Matt. 6:41,Luke 22:40)We are assured that God will provide a way to escape the devil’s deception.(1 Cor. 10:13) and those who endure will receive the crown of life…James 1:12.

  38. royalpalm says:

    Matthew 26:41

  39. BruceC says:

I will pass no judgement on the soul of Whitney Houston; as some feel they are entitled to.
Only God knows the heart. You may be able to call out a sin to one of the Body; but not their eternal destination.
Where in the NT(must be age-I can’t think of it right now)is the event where Paul said to hand the brother over to satan for the destruction of his body but that his spirit would be saved? And yet we find ourselves quickly passing judgement?

    BruceC
    Soli Deo Gloria!

  40. Bob in Cornwall England says:

    Mart,
While it is sad that Whitney Houston died so young and in tragic circumstances I am suprised that you are giving time to this subject.
We have lost quite a few so called celebrities in the last twelve months due to alcohol and drugs, so I don’t see why she should be subject to special treatment.
As for her status in Christ, that is for God to know and is none of our business.
Who are we to judge another!
I know in my own recent past how I have struggled between alcohol and Jesus, but never once thought I had lost my salvation. satan will always get us at our weakest point. These are spiritual battles taking place within us.
I know of an alcoholic who came to Jesus while in a coma and died without waking up, but we knew by the way he squeezed his mother hand and by his expression that he had been saved.
Let us just let this woman rest in peace and trust our Father for the rest.

    Bob

  41. foreverblessed says:

So yesterday I found out that the song I will always love you, as always been Whitney Houston singing! What a beautiful voice she had.
No drunkards will be in heaven, but drunkards can come at the gate of heaven, and ask for mercy in Jesus’ name, does it say anywhere they can’t ask for mercy?
All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Someone gave this Psalm a few weeks ago, forgot which Psalm it was.
    Maru:
    1 Corinthians 5:5
    What about 1 Corinthians 5:11?
That is tough talk! How to do that without being judgmental or self righteous?

  42. oneg2dblu says:

Good morning all, What if…If we have the Hope of Eternity in our hearts because of a deposit of faith given by God, then why can’t we also have that same hope for someone else whom God created for his pleasure? What if this celebrity was your mother, sister, and best friend? What if you knew her heart and were not fooled by things in her life that may have been beyond her? What if we were to show some grace instead of looking for the disgrace, and then judge accordingly for the best possible outcome?
Let us give Our God the Glory to be the I AM, and the rest of the story suddenly proportionally pales into vapor as we are left with but a fragrance and a hope in Him. Gary

  43. oneg2dblu says:

I do not know your stories, or the fullness of her’s, but for me it was at the worst of times that I called upon Him who came near. He never left me abandonded or alone. It does not take a lot to say, “Help me Lord” but sometimes it takes a lot of circumstances to get to the place we have to go where we will call upon Him.
I am only left to believe she called! Gary

  44. poohpity says:

Bruce, I believe that may have been Jesus talking to Peter; Luke 22:31-32.

  45. poohpity says:

Steve, I am missing you, praying all is well.

  46. florida7sun says:

Our Lord loved Whitney Houston with a love beyond our comprehension. He demonstrated that love for each of us, and we have His Word and His Assurance that He alone is the resurrection and the life.

Proverbs 15:11 says, “Death and Destruction lie open before the LORD–how much more the hearts of men!”

The “love of money” is truly the root of all evil. The prince of this world is quick to condemn and feed on Our Father’s creation; all the while he and his legion of fallen angels offer sweet temptations to the flesh. In every aspect of life the world’s elixirs lead to death and destruction.

Jesus, however, is sovereign and is praying for us. He knows our heart. He will bring His plan for our lives – and that of Whitney Houston – to fruition through His justice and mercy.

  47. poohpity says:

foreverblessed, If I may reply to the verses you sent forth for Maru in 1 Cor 5:11. Paul seemed to be addressing those who openly and without thought to the good of the church in Corinth were sinning. We do have to hold each other as believers accountable, carefully with thought to our own ability to fall into that sin as well. It seems to mean to go to that person individually at first the with others from the same congregation and then before the church if it takes that for a time to cause them to think about turning from the sin. I do not believe that means standing around in little groups gossiping and pointing fingers at our brothers and sisters but trying to help them gently and humbly to see their sin and to turn from it back to God. Paul seems to make a point of how carefully those who have close relationships with people who are sinning need to treat these situations as to not seem self righteous or better than but with the intent of restoration.

  48. Bob in Cornwall England says:

    Deb,
I am sure Steve won’t mind me saying but he has a problem with his computer and can’t log in to comment.
He is well but busy clearing the resent snow.

    Gary,
Your comments above show a lot of love and understanding.
As is said, “Jesus is only a prayer away”
A cry for help when we are in our lowest place is all that is required from our God.
He knows what is in our hearts before we do so even that cry is not always needed.

    Bob

  49. poohpity says:

Thanks, Bob, I was feeling concerned.

  50. foreverblessed says:

Thanks Pooh, for your reply, that would be a hard thing to do. Confronting a fellow believer in a humble way, a lot of wisdom, and the Holy Spirit, and a meekness, and not getting upset when the one being confronted gets angry. Because that is the natural reaction. And what when they are addicted?
DO we ask to pray for them? The addiction might be stronger then the spirit. It is quite something! ANd I am getting maybe off topic. We need the Holy Spirit so much to guide us in all these things: God, we pray, help us, give us courage and wisdom, and your Love.

  51. poohpity says:

Actually with addiction the best thing to do is, nothing but prayer for the addicted person. If they are left to experience the consequences of their behavior rather than the loved one trying to help them they usually hit bottom and then want something different. So no to them and yes to prayer. That is what Paul seemed to be saying with the problems in the church to put the person out was the consequences of blatant, in your face sin. Not helping them is actually helping them if you understand what I mean. That is what turned me to God was when my family finally said no to any help at all and God was the only One left to go to for help.

  52. davids says:

Bob, it is so nice to see you back in these pages, stronger than ever, and to read your words.

I pray for Whitney’s family, and especially for her daughter, who has seen more difficulty than one should in 18 years.

  53. poohpity says:

I do not know for sure but I would venture to say that maybe all those who surrounded Whitney Houston may have been yes people none wanting to loose their jobs or livelihood to say no to her. That is just a guess. Sometimes we have to risk the loss of a family member or friendship to do the tough things of saying no.

  54. yooperjack says:

You can pray for a drunk but you can not reason with a drunk. This I know for fact. Don’t waste your time.

With a drug addict your not dealing with that person but with the drugs. Reabilatation is the only way to make them well. I use to watch alot of Dr. Phil.

  55. poohpity says:

God is the only way to make them well. ;-)

  56. yooperjack says:

Sometimes God needs alittle help. That’s why He created Dr. Phil. LOL

  57. Toml5169 says:

I am so thankful Jesus is the only judge of where Whitney Houston and myself will spend eternity. I have no idea if she did or did not accept Christ at some point in her life. What I do know is she made some bad choices in her life that in the end ended her life early. The saddest part to me is the fact that early on she used that beautiful God given gift of her voice to bring Him glory and it seems the enemy did all he could to steal it away. I can’t imagine what that spiritual battle must have been like every day, and how often Satan would have lied to her of how unworthy she was of God, His gifts and His love. I cannot and will not say anything negative about her as she heard it daily from the father of lies; why would add to them.

  58. Toml5169 says:

Why would I add to them?
    Sorry

  59. Regina says:

    Good Evening All,

You’re right, Maru. Especially about those friends who brought darker things into her life. I hope/pray, like many who commented on this blog topic, that she had an opportunity to repent of her sins before she died.

Cold day in Texas today (45 degrees right now).

    Love to all…

  60. bratimus says:

What comes to mind are the words of Jesus,

“Let the dead bury the dead, come follow me”

She may have started off singing in a chior as a youth, but her adult years were for her fame and fortune.

“Whats it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose your own soul.”

  61. BruceC says:

    Happy Valentine’s Day all!!!!

Woke up this morning at 2:30 AM for a nature call and could not get back to sleep because I was hungry. I also had my niece on my mind. So I arose at 3:00AM and ate waffles! Watched Reflections on Daystar and realized that my hunger was for the Word.
Pray for my niece as she has expressed interest in going to church with us and listened to me the other night as I spoke about responsibility and how humanity cannot save the earth. Please pray for her salvation!
I am reminded of the Greatest Valentine Gift. The love of God in Christ Jesus! His Word is sweeter than candy upon our lips. His salvation the best boquette, and in His “card” is the promises of Almighty God!

    God Bless All!
    BruceC
    Soli Deo Gloria!

  62. foreverblessed says:

Bruce, I will pray for your niece, it is always so good to hear when people are drawn to Christ! Gary, I pray for your friend as well, what a nice report you had last week about her, thanks for sharing.
I pray that we are a sweet smell of Jesus. Jesus encourages people, Satan accuses all the time, we are not worthy, we fall short. Jesus knows we fall short, but He loves it when we at least strife for knowing Him better, He is so happy that we open the door for Him. He knows we are failing many times, and yet He says, come look to Me and be saved. And then we can look to Him, and be filled with His love again.

  63. foreverblessed says:

Tom, thanks for that remark, that Satan accuses us all the time, of how unworthy we are of being God’s child! And what job Jesus has: He is our advocate, always, constantly saying, this person believes in Me, I have bought him/her with my own blood, she is mine, he is mine. Thanks to God!
(I am not saying to be easy on sin, no we shouldn’t, but our faith is often so small, so little, especially when we fall short in love, in action, we might start to feel guilty, and then the voice of the adversary seems to have a point, that we are not worthy.) But even if our faith in Jesus is little, hold on to that faith.
Isaiah 7:9b if you do not stand firm in you faith, you will not stand at all.

  64. commitedtohischarge says:

Wow! I am so sad to see everyone at odds about what the Word says and if Whitney Houston is walking the streets of gold…this is God’s place. He is the only judge. How can we say who entered the kingdom and who was cast into outer darkness. I have a full understanding of the Word of God. No sin is going in PERIOD! But who cannot say for sure that while she bathed she cried out to the God she once loved so. We don’t know her final moments! Her death could have been an act of God’s mercy and an answer to many prayers for her soul! We don’t know where Whitney’s soul is living and it is none of our business! That is God’s business! We should only be worried about the lost and dying souls left behind! Her judgement is up to God. When you place her in Heaven or condemn her to Hell, you are in God’s place!

It does not matter what you have done in life, as long as when you take your final breath you are in right standing with our savior! We make many mistakes in this life, and I am not defending Whitney, but I do know what counts is how we end this life. Her heart at the moment she took her last breath is what God was looking at. After repentance, everything we have done is under the blood of Jesus! That is why He died! So we could be forgiven! AND yes that does include celebrities that went to rehab! I don’t know if Whitney spent her final hours praying and repenting. I also don’t know if she spent her final hours primping for a night of sin and rebellousness. I just don’t know…but the good news is I don’t have to know. There is a God of creation who knows ALL things. We just need to remain in our place and serve the creator.

I have read over these comments here and it’s so nice to see that you all don’t want to pass judgement on Whitney..I have to say that I thought she didn’t make it…but God stopped me in my tracks and showed me that heaven was opened to her. Remember the sinner who was on the cross next to Jesus…Jesus said he would be in paradise.
