The Clue

IMG_1514_SnapseedThe mystery of Malaysian Flight 370 and its missing 239 passengers and crew may be about to be solved. Or the possible signs of wreckage spotted by satellite off the coast of Australia may prove to be another false lead.

As we wait for the answer, I’ve been thinking about a far greater mystery that went unsolved for much of human history.

In the first pages of Genesis we find a clue to the mystery that, once solved, would explain God’s plan to undue the damage done by one who conspired to hijack the human race. God said to the Serpent, “I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15 (NLT)

Thousands of years later these words showed up in some of the first frames of Mel Gibson’s screen portrayal of  “The Passion of the Christ.” With the ominous strains of the soundtrack, the foreboding image of a snake emerges in the darkness, before being suddenly stomped on by “the seed of the woman”— as he groans in anticipation of the hours that will follow.

Looking back, we see in those ancient words something that must have once seemed as indistinct as what we are seeing today in the fuzzy satellite images of a possible piece of debris, floating miles below in one of the most remote and dangerous regions of the world. Yet when read now, the ancient hint can be heard and seen as a clear and compelling evidence of how the great mystery of a lost human race would be found and rescued.

    I admit I have never clearly *seen* the connection of Genesis 3:15 to saying there would be a savior born, except for the singular use of the word “His”.

    Clearly there is a battle that goes on whereas the serpent strikes “His” heel and “He” strikes at the serpent’s head as well as the hostilities (battles) between Eve’s offspring and the serpent.

    However how is this *translated* as a prophesy of a coming *Savior*?

    If a snake bites it will almost always be at the heel or foot or ankle or leg, on the hand when one tries to pick it up. If one were to try to kill the snake clearly only smashing its head is the only clear method of doing so.

    The coming *Savior* I clearly see all over the Scripture in many verses and comments, I just have blinders on with this one, except for the exclusive use of the singular word “His”, I don’t get it.

    Even if you kill the serpent from this verse, where is it said it would restore man with God?

    I actually see something different emerging from this comment and will explore and explain further later and I hope to offend no one, just an abstract *view*.

    I heard an expert explain that the reason the images are fuzzy is that they always make them fuzzy on purpose so that other intelligence doesn’t know just how clear and precise our satellite images are. I was amazed when I heard this, but it also reminds me of how God fuzzes up our images of Himself and even each other. God is the only One who truly knows us, and sees each detail of our lives, but still loves us, his broken yet redeemed humanity.

    So many clues in the OT of not only the reason that a Savior was needed but glimpses of Him and His rescues. God knew, since He is not held captive by time, what we would do through each generation and provided for the past, present and future until we are held safely in our eternal home. Nothing will be fuzzy at that point and I know for myself to see how He has intervened in every moment of my life I will stand in awe.

    I do not know why the media especially here in the USA has created such a frenzy over this plane even when there is nothing substantial to report on only assumptions on every corner but my hunch is just like the tempter wants to distract us from what is really important so it is with the media. Who has them in their back pocket is who dictates what the news will be causing us to look away from where our focus really needs to be. The world is in turmoil and we are focused on rumors devoid of facts, the old bait and switch routine.

    Good morning Pooh! What I have noticed about the secular media over time is that as soon as the next catastrophe comes along today’s news is cast aside. They all vie for our attention with the most spectacular events occurring. The more attention they get, of course, the more money they and their advertisers make.

    I have to confess before the missing flight my country wasn’t known in a lot of places. Now everybody knows my country. Yes I am from Malaysia.. I’ll give you the insight of what’s happening here. The saying that when disaster happens “ NO one is an atheist” is now becoming real to me. I’ve never seen such an urgency to pray in this country. You know There are posters, in the highway, Tv.. announce ment everywhere asking people to pray for MH370.
    We have so many different culture and religion, People in temple pray, churches are praying and I believe in the mosque too People do know how to seek God I see Psalm 14:1 in reality.
    There definitely some things that only God can make it possible
    Poohpity, You right we’re not to be influence by what the media says. Cause basically the world has always been preaching on fear. We are not to fear because of who our Father is.However although we are not of the world / we’re still in the world. John 17:15
    We’re still to pray for our country and the world. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 .We don’t wage war like the world. But the creator is on our side. We are the ones who have the access to the Father(true living God) through Jesus Christ. Other words God can change the world through us!

    Steve , regarding salvation and the snake. I see that the snake is use by the devil to deceive Eve.
    Just what he is still doing now. Deceiving the world. And he can use people to do that too
    And so the snake was given this curse because of this just like Eve was given labour pain as well.
    However that’s why Jesus came … there are many blessings and restoration in salvation but one of them is our ability to have access to the Father.. ( just my point of view)
    Having Said that. I urge you all to please pray for my country to have peace and that we will humble ourselves that God may heal our land..

    For my benefit I will first address the very first thing God says in Genesis 3:15; “I will”.

    At this place in the story God is talking to the serpent, and to the serpent God says “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it (enmity) shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.”

    Look up the word enmity and you see several explanations for this word; bitter feelings, an enemy, antagonism, hostility and so forth. It seems you can take your pick to best describe its use for whatever occasion. Which may explain why it is used in the KJ Bible instead of just one of its meanings.

    Still I see no reference here in this one sentence that gives rise that a savior is coming to restore mankind to his intended place with God. Not without all the remainder of Scripture references to a Savior does this one comment have a connection.

    Evidence for me that I cannot just take one verse of Scripture and have a complete answer and understanding of what God is saying.

    Also evidenced is that who is it that *puts* this enmity into place; God and no one else.

    God places a conflict between the serpent and mankind, this conflict shall “bruise” the serpents head and the serpent shall bruise “His” heel.

    In this one word alone is there, as Mart puts it, a fuzzy clue of someone emerging.

    The story begins here in Genesis and concludes at the cross, but without the whole of Scripture this one comment read in Genesis remains a fuzzy clue without a clear answer.

    The whole matter being God’s design as He stated “I will”.

    I read just a couple days ago on Christianity Today that the number one best seller of Biblical translations remains the King James Version. There must be a reason for that aside from my own preference for it.

    I too hope there is closure to this matter for the peace of all concerned and as in all disasters everywhere I too hope God is sought by all looking for answers and that all are blessed in their search by finding Him.

    Lovely… that was lovely.
    I think that when the truth finally comes to light, even if it is brought out by the fuzzy media, we had better take notice and believe it.
    Everything else, helps create the background, the lighting, the noise, the expectations, the drama, as all await the truth.
    Just like points exposed in each verse in the bible story, we get only one piece at a time.
    However, in the waiting moments, we have a Peace that Surpasses all Understanding, that Peace, is found in Jesus Christ. Come Jesus!

    Lovely I am praying for the families/friends of those of the passengers but haven’t been praying for your country. I am convicted to begin doing so! I am in the US but worked with a Chinese fellow from Malaysia-He was WONDERFUL with our clients with mental illness and even taught us some Malaysian/Chinese cooking. He was a joy to have as a co-worker. My best friend was a supervisor at a college library and said that students from Malaysia were her favorite students, so respectful and easy to get along with. Thank you so much for voicing your concerns and needs, Malaysia will be at the top of my prayer list for a long time-please let us know how God is working this tragedy.

    Lovely, Beloved, just wanted to let you know that there are millions of people who use computers searching satellite views to help in the search going over sectioned off squares inch by inch of the sea and other areas. I tried a little yesterday but my screen is to small and my eyes to weak. Prayers are going up all over for your fellow countrymen in hope for the truth to come out and that all will be located. God have mercy!

    It is so easy to twist even just one sentence to skew it’s meaning. As in most prophesy it seems to take hindsight to see how it comes to light as do other pieces of the puzzle starting to come together to point us to the One who all clues point us to. People from the Bible were there and although we go on faith we get to see how it was all brought together and some of the fussiness comes into focus as we put on our spiritual eye glasses and ask for the Lord’s help to understand.

    The whole Flight 370 phenomenon grows “curiouser and curiouser,” as Alice in Wonderland said.

    Thanks for the insight into the spiritual atmosphere in your country, Lovely. I try to live by the statement you made:

    “NO one is an atheist”

    Though the loss of an entire Boeing 777 may not bring the peoples of Malaysia to faith in Christ, it certainly cannot be ignored. The event opens a door that will not be declared meaningless by anybody. Between Gen 3:15 and Rev 20:2 is revealed the weight of God’s holy character. The victory is won in Jesus’ resurrection. I join my prayers with all here that hearts and minds will be opened to perceive the truth of God’s powerful love, mercy and grace.

    In Luke 24:27 NIV Jesus took them through all the clues given about Him from Genesis through Malachi. If we look at any verse standing alone then we fail to get as Mart stated, “Yet when read now, the ancient hint can be heard and seen as a clear and compelling evidence of how the great mystery of a lost human race would be found and rescued.” Gen 3:15 NIV is just one then Gen 12:3 NIV; Gen 22:18 NIV.

    Even in the first clue of a High Priest in Genesis 14:18 NIV it does not say Jesus but when we read Luke 22:17-19 NLT and Hebrews 4:14 NIV the clue becomes clear.

    Genesis 3:15 says love wins. The serpent seems to always be there to strike at the heel, but the serpents head is always down there where it may be stomped on. I often wonder about this symbolism of the snake. I’ve always feared snakes, even though there are no poisonous snakes where I live in Maine. A few years ago I discovered a BIG garter snake climbing along the wall of my daughter’s glass making studio which is attached to our house. I waged an epic battle with the snake with a shovel and when she was dead, I discovered that garter snakes give birth to live young rather than laying eggs as I had thought. To make a long story short, the next year when my house was overrun with mice, I realized that the snake has a purpose in creation. But I continue to wonder about this symbolism of the snake as representing evil. This picture of the snake striking at the heel then having it’s head crushed reminds me of the words of someone from another faith who said “Good is in the world, and evil is in the world. Good gets ahead a little bit, then evil seems to catch up, but Good always stays just a little bit ahead.”

    I think evil may think it is ahead but Jesus crushed it’s hold on us. He seems to have presented us with the choice of which we will follow after. When we decide to look up to Jesus (Numbers 21:8 NIV; John 3:14 NIV) we now have the ability to chose the direction and a way out from the hands of the tempter to the hands of the Redeemer. As long as we are caged in this body of flesh we can either ask/plead for deliverance or fall prey to it’s bite.

    saled… we used to have rats around the house where I grew up, as my family’s grocery store was attached to our house. I say “used to,” because we also had a few always working cats, that would leave their night’s work proudly displayed on the door stoop.

    Oh the balance of nature… sometimes we can either upset it, or even help it along.

    Kind of like the nature lesson awaiting those evil minded trespassers, who when they suddenly encounter the junk yard dog, they then get the message loud and clear!

    The blessings of nature or grace could even be found in a good muzzle or a short chain on those occasions.
    Even a pair of sneakers can help if you ever get a chance to run. :)

    I ran once from an attacking dog, when I was violating a neighbor’s no trespassing signs on his fenced in pond, only to find that his dog was much quicker, and held me by my pants leg until the owner came and called him off.

    That day my only grace was in wearing a good pair of long pants!

    The dog was a bull terrier and all the locals who knew him, called that retired military man, “General.”

    Not my best day, but I learned a good lesson. :o

    When I was in the Navy and finally aboard a ship, I learned another good lesson, “If it doesn’t move paint it, and if it does Salute!”

    P.S. We had no cats, or any rats either aboard that ship because we were told to diligently tie rat guards, or rat repelling hardware on all our dock lines every time we docked anywhere in this rat infested world.

    For the diligently practicing Jew, as described in the bible, he was to tie the word of God on his forehead, to keep the rats of the world from entering his mind instead.

    We Christ Followers today don’t do that but, we instead should crave to pour the Word of God into us daily as with diligence, being filled with it so that we can overflow streams of Living Water into a dry and thirsty world.

    I think for a mind to be transformed what is in there has to be replaced with something else. Paul teaches which I totally agree with from experience what we think about effects what we do. If we think about negative things all the time that is how we act but if we fill our mind with “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” the results are “the God of peace will be with you.”

    I am not going to be able to go to the movies and see the new release of the story of Noah, but am certain I will get the DVD when available.

    In the Story of Noah, which follows soon in reading time after the events in Eden, God says that He repented for having made man at all and says that mankind has become utterly evil and so decides to kill off all of the living creatures He had created because of their violence; except for the ones He will save in an Ark.

    An Ark He instructs Noah to build.

    Clues begin to gather together as this story begins to very slowly play out; the clues being the very lives of the people God uses along with the events *He* *puts* into play.

    Eve and her offspring have an enemy of the *serpent*, an enemy of the serpent God *put* there and there will be a battle whereby this *enemy* will bruise the serpents head all the while the serpent is only able to bruise this enemy’s heel.

    Speaking to the serpent, God exposes where this judgment He is imparting to the serpent will end up. While exposing the fact that this enemy of Satan is a person, not only hostilities.

    Similarly we are privileged to listen in on a conversation between God and *Satan*, as we later on in Scripture overhear concerning Job.

    Later we will learn that the Ark of Noah is a clue about another Ark and another rescue of a remnant of mankind.

    Jesus said that prior to His return, life on earth would be as it was in the days of Noah, before the flood and leading up to it. More clues concerning the mystery of life and the story of God and man.

    Where do you and I fit in?

    Good day all… “Where do we fit in?”
    Hopefully, “if” we are truly saved and still following Christ, then we fit into His body exactly where we are called, or led to fit.
    If not, we choose to not fill ourselves with His instructions, not head His warnings, not hear His voice, and not follow Him.
    Or, if we do know the word intimately as having a great deep knowledge of it, but do not do what it says, them we are ignoring the word, and fit right in with the rest of the world, as part of the worldly body.
    You see, if we read and listen and obey the word, then we know we can not serve two masters, and the word says…
    “If you love me, you will obey my commands.”
    “You are either for me or against me.”
    “Away from me you evildoer, I never know you.”
    “If you deny me on earth, I will deny you to my Father in Heaven.”
    “Those who overcome will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

    Just a few verses out of so many given in love, and not just for some light reading.
    Today’s God at Eventide speaks volumes.

    Good Morning BTA Friends —

    Reports from Chinese pilots are encouraging, at least in solving the mystery of Malaysia Flight 370. Progress in the much greater “search and find” work of God in Christ is still underway. The calling of faith is to continue re-membering and celebrating that rescue effort, it seems to me.

    There are clues looking back into the long saga of our Creator God’s relationship with his people. The task of applying the lessons of Bible history to life today is immense and overwhelming until the most recent chapter — that of Messiah Jesus.

    On this side of the cross of Jesus’ sacrifice, it seems to me, the evidence of God’s love, grace and mercy is so great that we may live by the gift that has been given. Each one who trusts in Jesus’ resurrection — and the New Covenant — can look to the next millennium, the next century and the next day with hope and confidence in him. God’s intentions are mighty clear in the gift of Jesus — “O, how He loves you and me!”

    It seems our purpose is to believe in Jesus. Jesus lived out the commands of the Father perfectly and the commands that Jesus gave us is to follow after Him and to understand the great mercy we have been shown and when we understand that we are able to show that to others. We also are to understand humbly who we are and in that to serve others treating them as we want to be treated and to carry the message of Jesus and the cross out into the world (Good News). Matt 9:13, 18:19-20; John 13:14, 34-35; John 15:12,17.

    quietgrace… yes hearing the latest news and knowing that it is not always received as such the good news for many.
    Along with all the promises of God, which are certainly Good News for any of the followers of Christ who still follow, who still listen and obey, who still hear His voice, we perhaps should re-read the most unbelievable verse in the bible, who believe otherwise.

    John 6:66
    “From then on many of His disciples turned back and no longer walk with Him.”

    Yes, if it happened to them, those who were referred to in the word as being His disciples who were following but turned back, then we had better adhere to the words of wisdom which say, we must…press on, endure to the end, persevere, remain, keep the faith, guard our hearts, resist evil, etc.

    Know the truth and the truth will set you free.

    We who can so easily claim all the promises for us today, thinking that is all that is required to be about our Master’s business.

    Perhaps we had better also listen and obey all His word, which today is a great debris field left for us all to gather evidence, and truth.

    Now… “Where do we fit in?’

    That does not mean lust one another, love seems to mean seeking the highest good for another and is further described and defined in 1 Cor 13:4-7 NLT that is the type of love the Lord showed us.

    Gary, do you understand why those at that time turned away? I believe that they did not like what Jesus taught they wanted to hate their enemies, they wanted their self centered requests answered, they wanted a conquering king (military might) not one who was full of mercy, compassion and love, Jesus emphasized faith over works, they could not understand what eating His flesh and drinking His blood was referring to and on top of all that they were not drawn to Jesus by the Spirit or because of who He was but what He could physically do for them. It really helps to read the verses preceding verse 66.

    There is a timeline in Jesus’ ministry to understand John 6:66 you have to read all that came before that time in the other gospels to understand what Jesus was up against especially with the religious leaders and those who followed Him because of the miracles they saw not for who He is. Most of the Book of John happens in the last week of Jesus’ life.

    Also there is no way we can be the Living Water for others only Jesus is that in the life of those who believe.

    I guess the question, “Where do we fit in?” can be asked by those who do not know Jesus because those who do know Him know they fit in under the wings of their Savior covered by His blood.

    Gary, reading My Utmost today really made my present circumstances hit home. Your analogy of the Word being the debris field of evidence and truth scattered around was interesting; I thought of debris as broken/ruined parts of something that once was beautiful, like the Garden we came from, or a once beautiful, functional airplane. But you are right, what we choose to follow makes a great impact as those in John 6:66 discovered. We are to give up ALL to follow Him. It can be painful and challenging. Like those who are grieving loved ones they once counted on to take care of them. Hoping they will find that Jesus can take care of them when human caretakers fail. It’s a hard lesson, but one that can end in perfect beauty as all the debris of their lives comes together perfectly at the foot of the cross. Bless you, Grace

    cbrown, it seems unless we realize our brokenness no one would ever seek healing. That is an ongoing process just like receiving mercy, if we do not feel there is any need for it then we do not seek it nor will we show it to others.

    When they talked about how we try and protect our children from experiencing pain we often cripple them from learning and growing. I read that book from Philip Yancey, “The gift of Pain” it was really eye opening by comparing pain with those who are unable to experience pain.

    Reading “My Upmost for His Highest” honestly angered me a little this morning.

    When I see a friend struggle with whatever, I am not going to pray that they have even more struggles piled on them in order to hit bottom and seek God. [That was a loose summary of the writing.]

    I will pray for them to be encouraged and strengthened but I do not see where it is Biblical to pray for someone to have even more put on them. I do understand that they must seek the Lord for help and strength. We should not want them to seek that solely from us; we should point them to the One who can help.

    It is realized in some cases one must hit rock bottom and come to the end of themselves in order to see they need help. But in everyday struggles–little irritants?

    You said it so clearly bubbles, “It is realized in some cases one must hit rock bottom and come to the end of themselves in order to see they need help.” If someone loves another would you not want them to come to that point so they will get help? They won’t get help if they are standing fast where they are and normally they will continue to blame or make excuses then nothing will change unless the pain gets so great that something would be better than not doing anything. There are many that go through life stuck.

    The Lord as we grow closer to Him opens our eyes to areas in our life that are stopping us from experiencing the joy and abundant life He wants for us. He takes us through fire to purify us that signifies pain to get rid of the dross. Thank God for those who prayed for me to have it worse so I could get better and find life. I pray that that will continue to happen.

    Pooh… you missed my point, but made yours quite clear, context is king.
    The tragedy in the verse in John 6:66 is nothing but the evidence of the debris field that was left, when those disciples chose to turn away because they did not return.
    Regardless of the reason or the immediate context that particular verse cited, the greater context to me is, “they did not return.”

    Each one who turns away chooses to turn away and has found their own reason, you name it you claim it, then they having claimed that opposing position to the word, or their resulting disobedience and unbelief, do not return.

    What actually, or what we think was that certain element that turned them off, to me it does not matter as much as the fact that they “were turned off,” or disobedient and unbelieving, no one snatched them out of the Father’s Hand, because they alone chose to turn and walk away.

    But that opposes the teaching held by many today which says, that God will not let them.

    However, it supports the verse that says there is another possabilty,

    God does not ever force Himself upon us, nor does He take away our free will choice to be in, or live in our unbelief and disobedience where we then can just walk away.
    The rest of the verse talks about the one who would betray Christ, also making a wrong choice, and he never returned either.
    But, that also is not an acceptable outcome, or context for some who believe otherwise.

    Of course there are answers to help solve all the scriptural problems to cover our doctrines, or anything we ever encounter that opposes the way we choose to believe, if we choose only to seek those verses alone, where we also stay stuck.

    Do we now have to believe that those disciples who were following, never really heard the word or really believed, and then turned and walked away to not return, saying they never really believed in the first place?

    I don’t.

    They were nothing other than behaving as one of the types of soil in the sower message, where all three types actually sprang to life, or actually heard and believed the word, but later died.

    Salvation was not the pressing issue that day, was it?

    It was their unbelief and their resulting disobedience, that was what actually caused them to turn and walk away.

    Falling away after first believing was the issue, was it not?

    Or did all the disciples never really hear or believe?

    Where do we fit in?

    Taking verses out of context one can twist them around to however one wants to make a point but that is not how it works, joyfully. Maybe rather than trying to make your point or to back up your thinking you may try to understand God’s point and what He is teaching.

    This morning after looking over the comments along this subject I am once again reminded of how dangerous and perplexing information is.

    In the beginning Jesus talked to people who had been raised from birth in the faith of knowing the written word of God from Genesis to Malachi, and yet they for the most part couldn’t recognize all the wealth of information they had at their disposal in recognizing Jesus.

    The people who had made it a point of life to keep the Torah and read it, not only to themselves, but to their brethren had the information, but didn’t recognize the clues.

    The Disciples took the *Gospel* to the Gentile world, without the foundation of the Torah and all its information present in those they talked to, yet they were successful in spreading the *good news* of salvation to millions.

    It has been said that God is not the author of confusion; I for one believe that and see it evidenced in the presentation of the Gospel.

    It isn’t that I believe that every Christian should not have access to the Bible, but rather that some use it’s information to confuse and spread a pseudo message or one that causes both the executioner and receiver to get lost in arguments over who is more right than the other.

    Better for the sheep to have a shepherd than for the sheep to all think they are all the shepherd.

    Millions received the Gospel and the Holy Spirit through hearing the message of truth because it was received in a receptive heart.

    Don’t make the same mistake that the early listeners did by placing a wall of pious questions around your heart that has to be satisfied before your heart can receive the truth.

    Just because we have a book filled with information doesn’t mean everyone can understand it. However that doesn’t keep them from thinking they do, or stating that they do.

    Stay in prayer, be more willing to listen than to talk.

    I fully believe with all my heart that those who seek, knock and ask the door will be open to those, through the Holy Spirit, that want to know God through His Word. It is not a secret and it is available for all. God knows the heart of those who want to know Him and He seems very willing to reveal the little glimpse we have to those who search. It is nothing to brag about because everyone can read it, everyone can study it and it is an open book to those who love the Lord and want to know Him. Even Jesus taught from the OT then when we read the NT we understand the fulfillment has come and the New Covenant has begun.

    Okay, I’ll try…

    So, you do not see any unbelief and disobedience, or free will choice taking place anywhere in that context, you see regeneration as the issue.

    Makes one wonder why not… why not see that unbelief and disobedience, birds of a feather, must have reigned in the hearts of those who after following, turned and walk away.

    If they were not regenerated as you say, or believing and following Christ, then what were they turning from?

    Was Judas part of the context?
    Was Judas believing and following?
    Did Judas likewise turn and walk away after following?

    Perhaps I read into, or followed too much of the story, and believed what I read. :0

    Yes it seems you are reading into that passage not more than is there but what is not there. It also seems you are taking other lessons and combining them into a frenzy of confusion and distortion but that is nothing new. I said nothing about anything that had to do with regeneration that is what you thought you read, not what is there which is an example of what I and others have been saying to you for a very long time in love and concern.

    Everyone is invited to know God and ourselves(humanity) through His Living Word we need only to read what is there, not what is not.

    When I was in Bible college the problem we all struggled with at times was in making the Bible a textbook, rather than a live, Spirit breathed word of God. I believe there are principles in the Bible that flow throughout scripture, and I too will often be speaking of a principle rather than taking a passage or verse at face value/context only. The Bible is multi-dimensional and care needs to be taken as to how one interprets, and how one perceives others are interpreting. Certainly writing on a blog such as this leaves much to the imagination, and one’s own perceptions of what the writer is indeed trying to say. Same with email, it’s often hard to interpret. Without the visual cues and the ability to hear inflections in the voice interpretation is left to the reader to decifer.

    Please forgive me, it was not you, it was cbrown who said, “Gary, none of them had a new birth experience or the faith to look forward to God’s salvation.

    Your words really do bring the greater context into the conversation, one that is open and loving, not tightly constructed and wrapped with confusing restriction which to me is bent on falsely finding they have to control the conversation.

    You always leave the door open to possibilities, where some others here tend to go for the tight reign of always imposing some type of restriction, acting as blog police if you will.

    Where one tries to close off any free flowing thoughts and the other tries to open them to allow them to have their flow.

    You allow me to be open, to be contributing, and you are graceful in your comments.
